MAGNOLIA

Situated minutes away from Port Moody in the semi-rural community of Anmore, this 5100 square foot 4-bedroom home was a 2009 Georgie Award® finalist in three distinct categories including Best New House, Best Kitchen and Best Master Ensuite.

Barone Developments worked closely with the homeowners to design a home that maximized livability and sustainability. In keeping with this, a high-efficient water-to-air geothermal heating/cooling system, ultra-high efficient tank less hot-water system, low E argon-filled power-smart windows and French doors were all selected. Additionally, durable, easy-to-maintain and eco-friendly materials such as distressed-cabinetry, low VOC-paints, hand-scraped oak-hardwood and Italian porcelain tile-flooring were selected with their young daughter in mind. Drawing elements of both Craftsman and Traditional styles, the homeowner’s goal was to create a rustic yet refined home that was architectural and well-suited for entertaining family and friends.

An earthy colour-palette, harmonious textures and natural materials such as solid-oak-hardwood, granite, travertine, tumbled-marble, onyx and solid-wood-cabinetry accentuate the architectural backdrop.

A daylight basement includes a media room, sports bar, fitness room, and private guest bedroom complete with ensuite. The 3 car heated garage was finished with custom stainless-steel checker-plate offering a unique workspace for car enthusiasts.
